JUTTE 4 – BLACK FINISH WITH YELLOW CORD
Jutte or Jitte – This single weapon has been especially designed for the proper practice within the Ikkaku Ryu Juttejutsu ryuha. This Jutte model is characterized by having a hexagonal blade (monouchi) and pointy back (tsukagashira) made from wrought iron with black powder coating finish and yellowcord.
Description
The Jutte or Jitte is used in the Japanese martial arts in a similar way to the Sai. However, while the Sai is traditionally used in pairs, the Jutte is used as a single weapon. In ancient Japan, the Jutte was used to block sword or knife strikes or to hit opponents with the shaft. The Jutte is many times called the “sword breaker” due that if it is used correctly it will not only be able to trap a sword but also to be able to break it.
